DEMOLISH, EXCAVATE, NEW BUILD
design & build studio above existing garage
- Working with the architect we assisted in the design of the above garage studio to ensure it would achieve our client's brief for both costs and outcome as well as meeting all local government development controls.
- We wanted to retain the large Angophra
- Trees near the building to provide filtered views of Pittwater .
- A deck was to be included with no support beams under that could inhibit vehicle access to the garage below.
- A large external deck area was to be included at the rear of the building
DEMOLISH, EXCAVATE & REBUILD GARAGE
The existing garage was found to be structurally unsound and needed to be demolished.We were then able to excavate behind and allow for a larger garage and bigger deck adjoining the rear of the studio above the garage.Dincel formwork was used in all walls and retaining walls at rear of the above garage studio.Large C section steel used to support the building and its cantilevered front deck.
